Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The Template Club, Phek town organised an open penalty shootout tournament at Phek town local ground on September 23, 2017 with Deputy Commissioner, KoviMeyase as the chief guest at the inaugural programme.
Keynote address was given by Vekhoseyi Keyho, President, Template Club where he said that the Club was formed to encourage and train youngsters through such tournaments.
Meyase in his speech encouraged the players to play in the spirit of the game and urged them to be dedicated and consistent in life as well as in sports.
Thetsumi Youth Society emerged as the winners and received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/-.as prize money. Sparkolite, Phek village and Excel 5 F.C Khomi village emerged as the first and second runners up respectively.
Altogether 53 teams participated in the tournament.
