Open Letter to the Department of Social Welfare

The Department is well aware of the People with Disabilities (PwDs) and its Pension Schemes that are meant to be received every year by the beneficiaries. But it is noticed and aware that the Department has failed the progressive disbursement of the Pension in a regular pattern of time to the People with Disabilities (PwDs). To be more clear and precise, the disbursement of pension for the years 2013-2014 was paid by the Department on August 2014, and for the years 2014-2015 on March 2016 though delivery dates differs for towns and villages or sectors wise. It is clearly shown that even the disbursement of the pension for the years 2015-2016 is high time to be delivered at this time. However the Department till today did not give any signal on delivery of the Pension which is long awaited by the People with Disabilities (PwDs). It is regretted to mention that the Department has failed to address the rights and needs of the People with Disabilities (PwDs) in general. The funds and facilities meant for People with Disabilities (PwDs) must not be misused or delayed unconditionally rather such funds and facilities should be delivered in time according to the channel provided in a just and fair manner. Further it is hopeful that the Department under its concern and right leadership would soon deliver the Pension of the People with Disabilities at the earliest.
