Dimapur, Feb. 23: In a search operation at Sanis Road Junction, troops of 28 Assam Rifles captured illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) being smuggled from Assam into Nagaland from Tata vehicle No NL 05D 6697, on February 23.
In this connection one Nono Singh, the owner of the vehicle, residence of Merapani, Golaghat District of Assam was apprehended. A total of 695 bottles of liquor was seized from his possession. The individual alongwith the seized items were handed over to Sanis Police Station and an FIR has been lodged against him.
