Offices bid farewell to departing officers

Departing deputy commissioner of Peren, Smita Sarangi, and the new deputy commissioner, S Tainiu, with officers and staff in the DC’s conference hall, during a programme on June 14.

Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): Peren district has organised a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing deputy commissioner, Smita Sarangi, on June 14 at the DC’s conference hall, New Complex, Peren.
The function was chaired by Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, SDO (C) Peren, while the invocation prayer was pronounced by DB, Lungrai.
Persons who spoke on the occasion included Head DB, Namtsi, on behalf of DBs; Rammi Ndang, HA on behalf of staff; representatives from the Zeliangrong Baudi, Zeliangrong Mipui Organisation, GBs Union Peren; Daniel, DPO, on behalf of DPDB.
ADC Peren, Sarita Yadav, on behalf of officers, has expressed gratitude and thanked Smita for her services rendered during her short stay as DC, Peren. The officers and public leaders at the same time welcomed the new DC, S Tainiu.
Meanwhile, Pughoboto has also organised a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing ADC, Avelu Ruho, on June 13 at the DBs court in the presence of MLA & SDPDB vice chairman, Y Vikheho Swu, and officers from all the departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Y Vikheho Swu has termed the outgoing ADC as a sincere and diligent officer. He has lauded her yeomen service during her three years tenure in Pughoboto. He recounted some of her notable contributions and achievements such as opening of HSLC centre in Pughoboto, renovations of GHS Pughoboto, marketing shed, guest house and DB court, and mini secretariat at new complex etc. The MLA also wished her well in her new responsibility.
The outgoing ADC, Avelu Ruho, who was transferred as ADC Phek (HQ), has attributed all the successes to the joint efforts made by all the concerned officers and public. The ADC has called upon the officers and staff to give continued cooperation with the new ADC Pughoboto for the uplift of the area. She also thanked all the officers, staff, churches, and others for their support.
SDO (C) Pughoboto, Tiayanger Jamir, GHS Pughoboto staff, student leaders, and village council chairman spoke on the occasion.
On the occasion, Pughoboto SDPDB has also felicitated the meritorious HSLC students. Four schools namely GHS Ighanumi, GHS Asukiqa and two private schools including DBS Lazami and Mission School under the sub-division have registered 100 percent pass in the HSLC examination. The MLA gave away citation certificates with cash awards.
MLA & SDPDB chairman, Y Vikheho Swu, further called upon the house to inform all the villages to conduct social work before Tuluni festival.
