NYK organises youth convention in Longleng

Dimapur, Feb. 10 (EMN): Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Longleng, has organised the district youth convention on February 8 in the DC’s conference hall.

Additional deputy commissioner, Longleng, Temsuwati Longkumer, had graced the occasion as the special guest. He was accompanied by EAC, Yongnyah, Ms Bichano Kikon.

The programme was chaired by Ms Lithei Phom, youth activist, while the keynote address was delivered by Kuvoto Khamo, NYK programme coordinator, wherein he highlighted on the activities of NYK.

Bachem Buchem, associate pastor of LTBC, and Ms Lipom, assistant youth pastor of LTBC, have spoken on the importance of youth life and their responsibilities. They have encouraged the youth to accept challenges and avail the opportunities provided by the government.

Special guest, Temsuwati Longkumer, has encouraged the youth to be vocal and take active part in social activities for the progress of the society. He also encouraged the youth clubs of NYK to come forward from their comfort zone and take active role in contributing towards the community in particular and the nation in general.

While highlighting on the Swatch Bharat mission, he has encouraged the youth clubs to come forward to work hand in hand for a cleaner environment and to compete with other parts of the nations.
