Dimapur, Dec. 30 (EMN): Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Mokokchung, has conducted a youth club development programmes for the youth of Mokokchung districts at Children English School, Mokokchung town, and Mokokchung village on December 7 and 8.
John Makhabo, DYC NYK, Mokokchung, while highlighting on the aims and objectives, stated that youth club development programmes are organised to form new clubs and strengthen existing network with representations from all sections of society. He added that such programmes were organised to orient youth on NYKS annual action plan as well as publicise the national flagship programmes and schemes of central government.
He spoke at length on the importance of setting up youth club in all villages to be the partner in developmental front. He also encouraged the youth to be self-reliant.
He appealed the youth clubs to develop viable projects to give job opportunities to the youth in their respective areas. He informed that the government has come out with hassle free loans like MUDRA for the youth where they could apply online and approach respective service branch. The only requirement is a certificate that he or she had undergone training related to their project proposal.
He also shared on the qualities of a good businessman.
Sanen, programme coordinator of youth with a mission, spoke on the qualities of a leader, importance of communication skills and effective management of youth clubs. He stated that many speakers make mistake by not keeping in mind the important elements of public speaking. He said it is important to know who they are speaking to and their aspirations.
Altogether 40 youth attended the programme at Children English School, Mokokchung town, while 33 youth attended the programme in Mokokchung village.
