Mokokchung, March 26 (EMN): Woodland Nursing Home, located at Tsusapang sector in Mokokchung village, will be offering a free fibro scanning (liver) camp, on March 27.
Information from the hospital’s management stated that the fibro scan was needed ‘because deaths from liver diseases are increasing dramatically in India with the potential to become the biggest killer within the generation.’

The major causes of liver diseases are alcohol, obesity and viral hepatitis (B, C), and liver injury, the updates stated.
In this connection, the hospital said that the scan will help in early detection, diagnosis, and treatment and, most importantly, help in early recovery of people suffering from chronic liver diseases. The updates said that the medical camp was being organised in collaboration with Fourrts Company, a leading Pharma industry in the healthcare sector in India for the past 40 years.

The sources informed that Fibro scanning costs INR 7000 in India. However, a nominal registration fee of one hundred rupees will be charged per scan, the updates added.
