Dimapur, March 20: The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) has set up another Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at its main branch at Jasokie market, GS Road, in Dimapur.
The branch is said to be the oldest and ‘the biggest’ in Dimapur. Having been established in the year 1967, the bank has crossed several milestones to celebrate the year as a golden jubilee year, Imtilemba Longkumer, managing director, said during a ceremony on Monday marking the inauguration. The NSCB is the only local bank in the state under the government of Nagaland. It seeks to upgrade and extend better customer services by bringing standardisation and facilities in Dimapur.
The chief guest of the event Ashoke Chakraborty, the general manager of NABARD, said during the program that the bank was ‘no less than any other banks in the market.’ He assured that the customers of the branch will be getting ‘24 hours banking service in a day.’
Also, he mentioned that the new facility was the sixth ATM booth in Dimapur. 15, 000 ATM cards have been issued ‘for the convenience of the customers’, it informed. There are plans to install two more ATM booths in Mon district and Jalukie district in the coming days.
