The Nagaland Staff Nurse Association (NSNA) on Sunday announced that it has resolved to continue with its “ongoing” agitation. In a press release, the NSNA stated that its agitation would be supported by the “nursing sisters of RNRM without any other additional qualification.”
The first phase of the agitation, which was marked with black badges/armbands worn at work for three days, ended on Sunday. It announced that the second phase of the agitation, which will see mass casual leave from the NSNA members for three days, would begin from Monday onwards.
“The Association firmly resolved to continue the ongoing agitation till all the demands with regards to service rule and promotion were implemented by the state government,” the statement read.
While stating that the Association was aware of the difficulties that would be caused from the mass casual leave to the “poor patients in particular”, the NSNA stated that it has been “painfully compelled to go to the extent.”
