The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has expressed hope that the contents of the newly signed “framework agreement” between the NSCN (IM) and New Delhi would be beneficial to all Nagas cutting across artificial boundaries.
“The Naga Students’ Federation is yet to know the contents of the Peace Accord but the framework is truly appreciated. The Federation hopes and believes that the contents of the accord will be honorable, acceptable and beneficial for all the Nagas cutting across the artificial boundaries,” stated a press release from the NSF on Tuesday.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi for having genuine concern and understanding the Naga political issue and also to the Collective Leadership of the NSCN (IM) for their tireless effort and signing of the framework agreement to the long pending Naga political issue, it stated.
“We believe this historic accord will finally fulfill the long cherished dreams of the Nagas for once and for all.”
The NSF said that the dream and the desire of the Nagas was to “live in peace and harmony with all our neighbors sharing the joys of good times and helpfully shouldering burdens and sorrows during adverse moments in the true spirit of good neighborhood.” The Federation believes that at this moment of Nagas achieving a long awaited aspiration, all our Neighbors will appreciate the achievement casting aside their doubts and insecurities, it added.
