Dimapur, Feb. 24: NSCN (IM) today lashed out at some individuals for trying sabotage the Peace talk between the NSCN and GoI by projecting a new means as ‘Nagas of Nagaland” and spreading ‘treacherous venom to mislead the people by their menacing atrocious strategy with a tagline “The content of its Framework Agreement” to disgrace the aspiration of the Nagas.’

Stating that their uninspiring campaign will not deter the dedication of true Nagas, it said Nagas were of firm belief that NSCN will bring peace and honourable negotiated settlement of the Naga goals.
Stating that the Framework Agreement has become a milestone for the Nagas, which was signed between the NSCN and the GoI on August 3, 2015, on behalf of the Nagas, NSCN (IM) press release through its MIP however regretted that some ‘greedy people’ were trying to rebut the Framework Agreement without any decency but to distort it with the “itchy drive so called The content of its Agreement” to be disclosed with their obligatory manner when the Naga issue has entered a new remarkable stage and had gained momentum during the last few years engaging a dialogue with the GoI in the right direction and where both the entities NSCN and GoI were seriously committed to inking on a deeper level than ever before for unconditional settlement.

It rued that some few Naga dogmatic writers had taken confrontational path despite reposing authenticity towards the Nagas aspiration by the Prime Minister of India towards the Naga aspiration. It felt that Nagas should have more “accommodative spirit” to shoulder the destiny of the Nagas.

‘If we are true Naga, one should not create any logjam towards our objective,’ NSCN (IM) said particularly when the GoI expressed deep satisfaction towards the Naga issue by recognising the “uniqueness of the Nagas and its situation.”

It recounted that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, on his flawless speech on the historic day, thanked the Naga leaders particularly for their wisdom and courage which has resulted in this historic agreement that had lingered for more than six decades. It said Narendra Modi, ever since becoming the Prime Minister of India, has been deeply concerned in resolving the protracted Naga political issue. He also pronounced that “Framework Agreement” was a shining example of what India can achieved and not only mark the historic agreement merely the end of the problem but the beginning of the “New Era.”

Modi said India will not only try to heal the wounds and resolved the problem but also be a part of Naga pride and prestige and declared the Nagalim as the “Guardian” of Indian Eastern Frontier and the Gateway to the world beyond. He said India will equally join the Nagas in shaping the future and dignity of Nagas as we dawn a new glorious chapter with sense of self confident and self respect, the statement said.

It reminded the Nagas to know that we have enter a decisive steps in the recent past which firmly takes Naga steps ahead in her aspiration as deserving. It further urged the Naga people to know that there can be no better platform to contemplate our actions towards achieving the goal if we missed this opportunity.
