DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 14: The church component of the NSCN (IM), the “council of Nagalim churches”, has announced what a press release from them on Wednesday called the “national workers fasting and prayer day” scheduled for September 24 on a warning note that unless its members ‘repent’ they will ‘perish’ for “many of us are no longer true to the noble cause of the Nagas.”
A note from the council appealed to the organization’s members “who are eagerly waiting for the soon arriving day of solution to Indo-Naga political issue.”
“This ardent appeal is being made to all men and women of NSCN, who are eagerly waiting for the soon arriving day of solution to Indo-Naga political Issue. The Spirit is ardently pleading everyone to consecration oneself to the Lord so that we all may enter into God’s appointed day of favor. The Lord is soon bringing a better and brighter day for the Nagas. It is His pleasure to bless us with that pleasant future. But this blessed announcement comes along with warning, ‘… unless you repent, you will … perish.’ (Luke 13:5 NASB).”
It means, the note explained, “the unrepentant shall not enter into that happy day. It is true that many of you have fought tough battles with valor. Many of you have borne pains and sorrows without measure. Many of you have given up your best for the Nagas’ future. We appreciate and admire you so much for all your noble sacrifices you have made in the past. Thank you so much. But, our appreciation is of little value unless God approves it. Because, He is supreme and He appreciates and rewards to people on His own term, not on our term.”
The council quoted from the word of God that “’I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion’ (Rom 9:15 NIV). He will do as He has said.”
“Now, allow us to say these few words from the Lord, that, we all need to come back to Him and live the life that pleases Him. It is true, many of us are no longer true to the noble cause of the Nagas. Many of us have gone too far for earthly pleasure and gain. Many of us have gone astray from the cause.
Seeking God’s forgiveness, “the CNC proclaims September 24, 2016 as the national workers’ fasting and prayer day. All the national workers, wherever they are, are requested to take this announcement seriously and join in the program leaving aside all duties. All the CA0s/POs are requested to take the responsibility to gather all their respective regional workers/staff and organize/conduct the program in their respective places. In the same manner, the army unit commanders and chaplains are requested to organize this program in their respective units.”
Also, the ‘authorities’ living in Dimapur, Peren and Karbi Anglong districts are “requested to come up to Hebron to attend at CHQ/GHQ church. Everyone is earnestly requested not to miss the program,’ the press release stated.
The press release added: “Through prayer worriers, it came like this, ‘it is better to remove the stumbling blocks from the road than to divert the course. It is better to let solution arrive soon than delay it.’ It means, the unrepentant shall be removed in order to pave ways for the righteous. To this, we would like to say ‘Amen, and ‘Maranatha!’ If these words are from the Lord, It will come true sooner than later. Let the new Naga generation receive freedom. Let the exploiters, wealth amassers, immoral and corrupt people be gone. May God help every NSCN member repent and renounce the path of sin.”
