Dimapur, Aug. 9 (EMN): Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NRMSATA) 2013 has resented the apathy attitude of the state government and the authorities concerned for non-payment of salary for four months (April – July) for reasons best known to them and appealed to release their rightful salary.

‘Visits to the authorities and department concerned are fruitless with no positive sign and the NRMSATA 2013 teachers are always at the receiving end when it comes to the issue of salary even though we are entitled to regular payment at par with the other state employees,’ the aggrieved NRMSA teachers’ stated in a statement issued to media houses.

Stating that ‘No work no pay’ is a popular catchphrase used by chief guests in any function involving teaching but it has no value when we keep doing our work without our rightful salary. It is said that ‘patience is a virtue’ but it is difficult to uphold it when we do not receive our due wage and have to undergo mental and physical agony, the association statement added.

NRMSATA 2013 has appealed to the state government and the concerned authorities to address the salary issue at the earliest so that teachers could do their work with the right mindset for the betterment of the students.
