Dimapur, May 26 : The NPF Women Wing Central has reacted sharply at the recent speeches of Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio and MLA Thomas Ngullie delivered at the public reception in Dimapur airport.

On Rio’s reference to Chief Minister T. R Zeliang for sabotaging the Naga issue, NPF Women Wing asserted that the intention of the present chief minister is positive towards the Naga political issue.

“For that matter, our respected Party president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu is also fully committed to the peace process. Whereas during Rio’s time, he faced numerous oppositions because many people doubted his intention towards the Naga Issue. Today, no one questions the intention of chief minister towards the Naga issue except those leaders who want the capture power in the name of Naga Issue.”

On the issue of expansion of NPF in the State of Manipur, NPF Women Wing said, Chief Minister TR Zeliang as the Minister in-charge of Manipur State had struggled before the launching the NPF party in Manipur.

NPF Women Wing Central President Tonlih Wangsa and Press Secretary, Kerei Pfukha in a press note said, “No doubt, Neiphiu Rio also played his role to safeguard the party to a certain extent when he was the Chief Minister of Nagaland. However, after leaving the chair of chief ministership, that too on his own violation, he has taken a U-turn and started to destroy the party, even going to the extent of freezing the party symbol “Cock”. But, the ECI totally rejected his attempt and he become more frustrated. Rio should not forget that every member of the party including the Women Wing has contributed in strengthening the party and brought the party to power.

Regarding Thomas Ngullie’s speech about Zeliang’s educational qualification case at the airport, NPF Women Wing ridiculed him saying, he doesn’t know the word sub-judice.

“The manner to which the two Principal(s) of Kohima College Kohima (KCK) have issued the clarification as suspicious and there could be some underneath dealings.”

“Every layman knows that according to the laid down provision of law there is a world of difference between using fake certificate and giving wrong information. But Mr. Long hair, why do you want to argue this case in the airport or railway station? Both the cases are in the court of law, hence let the law take its own course of action.” “While the matter is still pending in the court of law, as a law abiding citizen, we are all duty bound to respect the process, that it is taking place in the court and especially you being a lawmaker should know what subject matter is to be discussed in the public.”
