Dimapur, August 2 (EMN): NPF Peren division has taken strong exception to the resolution of NPF Central executive council emergency meeting on July 25 wherein it recommended for its dissolution and all frontal organisations for siding with the expelled legislators besides adopting other ‘immoderate resolutions’ by some few senior NPF party functionaries to incapacitate the oldest regional party of the Northeast Region.
A division press release issued by its president, Haingam Kauring, has termed the ‘so-called resolutions’ as pre-cooked adopted by handful party workers without giving any room for further debate or deliberation to the members. Stating that it lacked constitutional validity and totally impracticable on ground, the NPF Peren division has condemned such ‘self-willed decision’ of some senior NPF party functionaries. It also called upon all NPF party workers to invalidate such fractious resolutions in the larger interest of the NPF party and the NPF led DAN government.
The NPF Peren division also reiterates to stand steadfastly by the NPF party principle and not resort to any anti-party activities. It said the moral support extended by the NPF Peren division to TR Zeliang, was their bounden obligation since he was elected to be the leader from its constituency, adding the support extended to TR Zeliang should by no means be misconstrued as going against the wish of the NPF party and warrant the dissolution of NPF Peren division.
It expressed shock that Dr. Shurhozielie Liezietsu, whom it regarded as wise and senior most custodian of the NPF party, failed to keep his promises but obdurately invoked a disastrous political game within the party by heeding to the ill advice of some selfish senior party functionaries thereby placing the whole party into mess and jeopardy.
The division still expects that Dr. Shurhozielie Leizietsu will exercise his grand-old-man wisdom with utmost magnanimity and redeem the NPF party before it is too late, instead of issuing pertinacious expelling and suspension order on the NPF legislators.
Meanwhile, the NPF Peren division appealed to all NPF party workers to remain calm and join hands to salvage the party from complete annihilation.
