NPF MLA holds thanksgiving service

Mokokchung, March 17 (EMN): NPF MLA from 23 Impur assembly constituency, Dr. Imtiwapang Aier has organised a thanksgiving programme in his native village Sungratsu under Kobulong EAC headquarters in Mokokchung district on March 17.

The programme was attended by NPF party workers and supporters from various villages and urban settlements under the constituency at Senden Salang in the village.

Speaking on the occasion, the former NLA speaker thanked the people of the constituency for giving him another chance the serve the people of Nagaland. He also congratulated the voters for their sacrifice and dedication in ensuring his victory.

Dr. Aier also asserted that winning the election by a margin of 62 votes in a tough tug-of-war was a miracle and a testimony that without God’s blessing nothing can be accomplished.

The MLA further vowed to fulfil his promises for the economic empowerment of women and youth in the range. He has sought the cooperation and wisdom from the village councils and adhoc town committees to initiate the projects.

Stating that unity among the people of Asetkong range had produced many eminent leaders and personalities to serve the Naga people in various capacities, the MLA also called upon the people to be united as their forbearers and to become an asset for the Naga people. He further called the people guide him with constructive advices to lead the people.

T Meren Jamir, convener core committee; M Imrong Ozukum, vice chairman Yisemyong adhoc town committee; Moasangba Jamir, president NPF Mokokchung division; and president NPF 23 Impur AC also spoke at the programme.
