NPF coordination prog held at Kisama

KOHIMA, JULY 23: Dissident Naga People’s Front MLA from 14th Southern Angami-1 Assembly Constituency, Vikho-o Yhoshü officially joined the main NPF fold today during a coordination programme organized by NPF Kohima Division at Kisama Heritage Village.
According to NPF Kohima Division, MLA Yhoshü, who was part of the Sovima camp, joined the NPF along with his constituency party workers. NPF said, the MLA joined the party during 2015 year end, however, it took months to arrange the coordination meeting to welcome him back to the party fold.
In returning to the main party fold, the MLA expressed regret for taking wrong decisions. Yhoshü, was however, grateful that he could rejoin the NPF party at the right time and right moment.Recalling the days of division within the NPF party, Yhoshü said it was his decision to join the Sovima camp.
“Back then, I joined the Sovima camp with the belief that I was on the majority side. But the calculation was wrong, and this I have regretted till today,” Yhoshü said maintaining that all the NPF legislators should reconcile and come together under one fold keeping in mind the larger interest of the party and the Naga people.
The MLA went on to say that NPF is the party that would lead the Nagas at this juncture, while he also urged the Naga people to rely their hope and belief on the NPF party leadership.
“I waited enough to take the right decision,” Yhoshü said. To this, he also thanked the NPF Kohima Division for paving the way to welcome him back, including his constituency party workers.
Minister for Social Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Kiyanilie Peseyie, who is also the incharge of NPF Kohima division, heartily welcomed Vikho-o Yhoshü and his followers back to the party fold.
Regretting the political mess within the NPF legislators, Peseyie, however called for unity among the party workers to strengthen the NPF-led DAN government.
Speaking at the occasion, NPF Kohima Division president, Goneiu Sirie also expressed delight as Vikho-o and his constituency workers rejoined the party fold.
“Division will not take us forward,” Sirie said, while he also welcomed the other NPF legislators to join the main party fold.
Class-1 Contractor, Vilelie Khamo, who is also part of the 14th Southern Angami-1 A/C, also heaped praise upon the NPF Kohima division for an open heart to bring back the legislators and party workers.
Others who spoke at the coordination programme were Neiduto Rhütso, president, 14th Southern Angami-1 A/C, Neilhouvi, former president of the constituency and Tsumongo Ovung, vice president, NPF Central.
The programme, chaired by Kesoneilie Theünuo, working president, NPF Kohima Division, commenced with invocation pronounced by Suosahie Sachü, treasurer, NPF Kohima Division. The vote of thanks was tendered by Vira Lhousa, vice president, NPF Kohima Division.
The coordination programme was also attended by Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change.
