NPCC says NPF has become launch-pad for Hindutva forces

Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Tuesday said that the ruling NPF has now been turned into a ‘spring board for Hindutva forces in Nagaland’.

In a press release, the NPCC stated: “After 14 long years in power, NPF has only managed to become the spring board for Hindutva forces in Nagaland. BJP-RSS ultimate agenda is Uniform Civil Code (UCC). UCC simply means ‘one nation one religion.’ Their doublespeak is evident when they talk of recognizing uniqueness of every community in the nation and on the other hand they talk of UCC.”

It also stated that the NPF ‘Press & Media Bureau’ appears to have lost its “mental balance” by staunchly defending backdoor appointments. “It is not only ACAUT but all citizens have the right to demand justice and equal opportunity for it is enshrined as fundamental right in the constitution.”

The NPCC stated that the NPF-BJP nexus would ‘continue to defend corruption and backdoor appointments because it is their lifeline for survival.’ “Given opportunity, NPCC will leave no stone unturned in cleaning the present system of backdoor appointments that has benefited only few while leaving thousands of youths to face an uncertain future”, it stated.
