Nodal officer briefs central flagship programmes in Longleng

Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): In connection with conduct of ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan,’ (village self government campaign) a coordination meeting with the nodal officer G Sajith Kumar, under secretary to the Government of India and line departments in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall on April 23. The chairman of the meeting, Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam said that the purpose of the meeting was to brief about implementation of seven central flagship program such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya (Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Abhiyan), Ujala Scheme, Pradhan Mantri jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Mission Indrahanush by the line department.
He informed that the nodal officer will visit the villages to ascertain implementation of these schemes or not. The DC also informed that the flagship program was to be implemented and completed by the May 5 as per the direction. He also directed the departments to submit their activities taken up and grievances at the earliest.
Department of PHED, Power, Home, Health & Family Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, NRLM, Rural Development Department and Agriculture highlighted their respective activities. They also raise issues and grievances faced by departments in implementing the programs at the village levels and put up suggestions for remedies.
