No red beacons in Nagaland from May 1

Dimapur, April 26 (DIPR): As decided by the state cabinet, the government of Nagaland has banned use of red beacon light on all central/state government vehicles in the state of Nagaland with effect from 1st May, 2017.
Ban on use of red light beacon shall apply to civil/military paramilitary/police functionaries, officials of central and state government departments/agencies/organizations/public sector undertakings. Police vehicles escorting VVIPs/VIPs/high dignitaries shall be allowed use of multi-coloured orange, blue and white light already permitted vide Notification of even number dated 19th March, 2014.
