NNC expresses solidarity with people of Eastern Nagaland

Dimapur, August 16 (EMN): Parent body of Naga National Council (NNC) has welcomed to what it termed as “right political decision” taken at Yangon (Burma) meeting with Myanmar government of Nationwide Cease-Fire Agreement (NCA) by the people of Eastern Nagaland not to sign Ceasefire Agreement unless it covers the Eastern and Western Nagaland by the Yangon government.
“This is the wise political decision taken by our people of Eastern Nagas for the betterment of the Naga people as a whole as the Naga National Council from very beginning stood for the whole Naga inhabited areas for freedom,” NNC information and publicity wing said in a press.
Naga National Council affirmed that it cannot part with our Eastern Naga people as “we were and are one people politically, culturally, socially, religiously and geographically.”
It urged that this stand must be understood and supported by one and all politically as we march ahead for our freedom of recognition.
