NLM officials verifying scheme implementation

Two officials from the National Level Monitoring (NLM), Government of India, New Delhi, are here in Nagaland to carry out inspection on the progress of the projects and schemes undertaken in the State.
The purpose of the visit is to make a detailed verification of the schemes initiated by the central government in the State. The National Level Monitoring officials are Meenakshi Kaundal and Vinod Kaundal. They have been assigned to carry out inspection in four districts of Nagaland, including Dimapur, Peren, Kohima and Mokokchung.
The NLM team, accompanied by State government officials, carried out a four-day tour to Peren district from October 4-7. The team inspected four villages in the four blocks of Athibung, Peren, Tening and Jalukie.
On October 4, the officials visited Athibung block, followed by Peren and Tening blocks on October 5 & 6. The central officials ended their visit to Peren district with the last inspection carried out at Jalukie block today.During the visit, the central officials interacted with villagers and schemes’ beneficiaries. The officials inspected on the progress of sanitation in all the villages, made enquiry on old age pension benefits and job cards, etc.
During the four-day visit to Peren district, the central dignitaries were accompanied by State government officials from the department of Rural Development, Social Welfare, Public Health Engineering and Land Resources.
The central officials will next tour Kohima district, followed by Mokokchung. It was informed that the inspection to Dimapur district had been carried out prior before Peren district.
