Nise Meruno to perform at Isha Ambani’s wedding

Singer from Nagaland Nise Meruno is set to perform at the wedding of Isha, daughter of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani.

An update on Dec. 1 mentioned that Yamaha Artiste Nise Meruno would be performing at the main reception celebrating the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal on Dec. 13 in Mumbai.

It is a first for a Naga musician who will share the stage with some of the elite’s crème at the wedding of a scion of one of the world’s biggest corporate houses. Nise gave credit to God. He said: “I really thank God for His wonderful favour upon me, and I’m glad that I get the chance to also take some other Naga musicians with me, and give them an opportunity to be heard by some of the world’s most influential people.”

Nise is said to be travelling and performing with Nourhevilie Khate, violinist with a masters degree in music from the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatory, London; Thunglamo Ngullie, grade-8 vocals in Classical and Rock School, London; and Yanzo Kikon, grade-8 violinist from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
