MMC directs petrol pumps
In the interest of general public and for the convenience of travelers, ADC and Administrator, Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), W. Manpai Phom has directed all petrol pumps in Mokokchung town to open their respective pumps by 5 a.m. and to remain open till 8 p.m. All petrol pump owners have been directed to strictly adhere to the new timing with immediate effect. It also cautioned that failing to comply with the order shall invite penal action.
NEPEx rehearsal in Mkg today
In connection to the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), to be held on August 30, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, has informed that to conduct the preparedness exercise more effectively, a rehearsal will be held today involving all identified and designated officers and personnel who form the backbone in responding to disasters. DC also appealed to the people of Mokokchung town not to panic during the exercise stating that it is just a preparedness exercise to respond more effectively at the time of occurrence of disaster such as high intensity earthquake.
State BJP executive meeting
State BJP will be holding its 6th BJP State Executive Meeting on August 30, 10 a.m. at IG Stadium, Kohima. BJP Media general secretary has informed that the meet is combined with the annual state council meeting. Therefore, state council members and mandal presidents, all the entitled party members of state executives, office bearers, permanent members and special invitees of party legislators, district presidents and general secretaries, state frontal presidents and general secretaries have been informed to attend positively. All the convenors and co-convenors of cells, departments and project committees are also to attend as special invitees. The BJP North East General Secretary (Org), Ajay Jamwal shall be addressing the meeting. All the attendees have been asked to arrive at the venue by 9:30 a.m. for registration.
Tuensang SDPDB meeting held
Tuensang Special District Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall, on Monday, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Tuensang, L. JamithungLotha. The meeting reviewed the LADP fund allocation and schemes for Tuensang district.
