YV Lotha takes charge as HoD

Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, through a government notification, stated its additional director, Y Vandanshan Lotha has taken over charge as Head of Department with effect from January 12 last. A DIPR report stated that all DO letters/ confidential and other important correspondences should be addressed to him by name till further order.

Massive road repair work underway

Massive road repairing work is underway under three municipal councils, 29 town councils and ward panchayats under the initiative of PWD minister Tongpang Ozukum. In this regards, Dr. Toshimanen Ozukum has impressed upon all the concerned authorities and public to extent all possible assistance in terms of manpower and other logistic support to ebsure success of the mission.

Kohima’s DC informs

Deputy commissioner and district election officer, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, has informed that a facilitation centre for doubt clearing on poll process and EVM/ VVPATS would be open on May 25 and 26 in the pensioners’ office new building, DC office complex, Kohima, from 11 am to 3 pm. In this connection, the DC has informed all government officials drafted for election duty to avail the facility.

NPF minority wing convenes meeting

NPF minority wing has convened an emergency meeting on May 25 at NPF division office at 10 am. Informing this in a press release, the unit president Bishnu Bhattacharjee has requested all the office bearers of NPF minority wing central and mahila wing under Dimapur district to attend the meeting without fail.

Dimapur’s DC informs

Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, has informed that counting to the Lok Sabha election would start at 8 am on May 31 in his office’s conference room. In this regards, he has requested 11 counting agents from NDPP and NPF requested to be present. Meanwhile, the DC also informed that strong room would be sealed after collection of all polled EVM from 3 am on May 29 at his office for which he has requested one representative from each political party to be present. Also stating that scrutiny would commence at 11 am on May 29 at DC & ARO office chamber, he has requested at least one representative of NDPP and NPF to attend.

Mokokchung’s DC informs counting officials

Deputy commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal has informed all the counting supervisors, counting assistants and other counting Officials including Grade IV staff, appointed for the purpose of counting of votes of by-election to the Nagaland parliamentary constituency to attend a training on May 29 at 12 noon at the conference hall of ADC (Planning) Mokokchung and at town hall on May 31.

Tenyimi women to observe Women’s Day

Dimapur unit of the Tenyimi women union has announced to celebrate Women’s Day on May 26 at Jotsoma community hall, Kuda (Nagarjan) village in Dimapur. A press release from the union on Thursday informed that the deputy secretary of the department of sericulture, Kusa Pfithu, would attend the occasion as the guest speaker. The organisation has requested all the units to attend the programme.

SOSU convenes meeting

Shena Old Students’ Union (SOSU) has convened its first executive meeting on May 26 at the residence of Ihokhu Yeptho in Purana Bazaar, Dimapur, at 10 am. The union has requested all the executive members to attend the meeting without fail.
