Dimapur’s ERO releases ‘deletion’ list
The electoral registration officer of Dimapur Sara S Jamir has informed electors from the constituencies Dimapur-I, II, and III and Ghaspani-I and II assembly that the ‘deletion list’ for possible duplicates has been prepared. It was based on the verification report of respective booth level officer, it was informed. The list has been displayed on the notice board of the deputy commissioner, also the district election officer for Dimapur, for inspection. Electors having any objection are asked to appear before the office on or before Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Matter will be decided without any further reference in the event of failure to place the objection before the office at the given time, it was informed.
DMC starts trade licence renewal
The Dimapur Municipal Council’s (DMC) administrator Moa Sangtam has informed traders, business establishments, and shopkeepers in the DMC’s jurisdiction that the process for renewal of DMC trade licence for the year 2018 commences with immediate date. All DMC trade licence holders are informed to renew their respective licence on or before Jan. 31 2018 to avoid late fine.
Khezhakeno to conduct combined service
Khezhakeno will be organising a combined service from Dec. 29 to Jan. 1 2018 at Lepfhe ground. The event will be conducted with the theme “UkoSielie di Chükhe” (Let us rise and build, Neh.2:18). The programme’s committee has invited Kozabomi people and their ‘in-laws’ to attend the programme. Speakers for the two-day session are Sr. pastor of the CRC of Sodzülhou, Rev. BulechüKoza; the pastor of the CBC at 7th Mile village, Neizo Koza; the pastor of HOPFAN at Dimapur, Rev. C NgoloKoza; the pastor of the CRC of Dimapur town, Dr. Khape Ladu; the pastor of the CCRC at upper PWD in Kohima, David Koza; and the pastor of the CBC at Kohima Dr. Vetso Koza. Kohima’s DC informs arms license holders
The district election officer of Kohima district Rajesh Soundararajan has directed all arms license holders in the district to produce their arms licenses for verification at the nearest police station from Dec. 19 to Jan. 5 2018. Failing to produce said document for verification within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the license as per appropriate section of law, it was informed. The notification was issued in view of the forthcoming general assembly elections scheduled for 2018.
