CNTC to observe 5th anniversary

Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has announced to observe its 5th anniversary at the Town Hall, Dimapur, on December 8 at 11 am. The Council, through its media cell, has informed all units, concerned organisations and well-wishers to attend the programme. Alemtemshi Jamir, retired chief secretary; K Nzimongo Ngully, retired secretary; and HK Khulu, retired additional chief secretary would exhort the gathering.

CTF endorses clean election

Chakhesang Thinkers’ Forum (CTF) has held its first general meeting on December 4 at CBCD, wherein it deliberated on the various issues confronting the Naga society today. While agreeing with the stand of the NBCC on clean election, the Forum urged the electorates to take the forthcoming election seriously and elect honest and God fearing leaders for the better future of Nagaland.

NSCN mourns death

GPRN/NSCN has mourned the untimely demise of Siebu, Tatar from Angami Region, who passed away on December 4 due to illness. According to GPRN/NSCN, Siebu joined the national service in the year 2008 and served the nation with utmost sincerity and commitment till her last breath. The GPRN/NSCN has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

IVRD notifies residents

In view of the ensuing Christmas and New Year celebrations Industrial Village Razhüphe Dimapur (IVRD) has requested all the villagers as well as the shopkeepers within the village to clean and decorate their homes by installing a star as per their own capacities and join in the celebration with the rest of world to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ. The village council secretary Kenei Angami and the Head GB cum village chairman TL Angami have conveyed best wishes for Christmas and a happy New Year.

DC notifies arms license holders

In view of the forthcoming general election scheduled in 2018, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has informed all the arms licenses holders under Wokha district to produce their arms/weapon and arms license for verification to the nearest Police Station as per address given in their arms license before December 20. The DC informed that non compliance would lead to cancellation of license as per appropriate section of law.

NSCN (R) UT- 1 mourns

NSCN (R) UT-1 has mourned the demise of Maho Lotha, Leacy of UT-1, who breathed his last on December 5 following prolonged illness in Dimapur. In a condolence, Khekato Kinny, kilonser cum supervisor of UT-1, stated that Maho had served the Naga nation with utmost sincerity and dedication in all his assigned works. NSCN (R) in a condolence message issued by its MIP lamented that his demise was a loss to the region in general and the NSCN (R) in particular. NSCN (R) UT-1 has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to grant the departed soul to rest in peace.

Hrüyio promotes his book

Hriiyio Paul Naga, an alumnus of St. Joseph’s College Jakhama, visited the college to promote his book titled ‘The word i hate love.’ The book was published by Educreation Publishing House, New Delhi. He is currently pursuing film direction in Creo Valley School of Film, Bangalore. The book is currently available on Flipkart, Amazon, and Kindle at INR 260.

ANDMSA convenes meet

ANDMSA has convened a meeting on December 12 at 11 AM at the conference hall of Changki Mentsu, Kohima. All the unit presidents and secretaries are requested to attend the meeting positively.
