New Market FC hopes to reclaim former glory

Kohima, August 6 (EMN): New Market Football Club on Saturday formally launched its jersey for the upcoming Kohima Football League, 2017, organised by Kohima Town Club (KTC).
Ropfu Meyase, State Coach, IGS, YRS, a player who played for the team launched the jersey at NMYO office building. Meyase said that New Market FC was one of the most feared teams in the state in the mid 90’s and early part of 2000 and also produced many good players.
However, he hoped that with the coming of KFL 2017, New Market FC established in 1977 will be able to reclaim its lost glory and urged upon the players to be disciplined and ready to sacrifice for the club.
Earlier Temsula Meyase prayed for the team management and players, while Medolhoutuo Rutsa, Convenor , Sports committee gave the welcome address.
Vikholie Yiese, President NMYO expressed thanks and gratitude to all the well wishers for helping New Market FC, the team management and players for gearing up for Kohima Football League, 2017.
Abalie Rhezhii, secretary, sport committee offered the vote of thanks.
