New deputy chairman KAAC elected

Diphu, Dec.12(EMN): Ritish Enghi, MAC from Noomati constituency was on Tuesday elected unopposed as the new deputy chairman of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. In the election process that started earlier, none of the councillors filed nomination paper till Dec. 11 and was elected unopposed during the 229 session of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council . Enghi is the 26th deputy chairman of the KAAC. A felicitation was also held led by KAAC,CEM Tuliram Ronghang. Enghi expressed his gratitute to Ronghang for his due support, and assured that acccording to norm and procedure of the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution all implementation work will be done.
