NEC brings local entrepreneurs to share ideas

Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): A day packed with a pool of knowledge, the two-day Naga Entrepreneurs Conclave (NEC), which got underway on November 17 at Urban Haat, Dimapur, offered the much required platform for Naga entrepreneurs to exhibit ‘only local’ products and exchange ideas.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NE8X, a consultancy agency based in Guwahati, Assam, and the Northeast India’s first exclusive start-up accelerator platform for community convention, Roy Riddhinil, during interaction session with students and local entrepreneurs, said ‘though government jobs give a sense of security, it is disruptive as it do not leave room for expansion of ideas.’

“For entrepreneurship there is no physical liability and it can design solution. Northeast region talks about problems but do not design solutions and this solution can be created by us when we make entrepreneurship part of our career,” exhorted Riddhinil.

Axis Bank officials from Dimapur also shared the same sentiment that the northeast region lacks in private enterprise especially local entrepreneurs. Addressing the issue of shortage of local entrepreneurs, the bank officials maintained that the best way an individual can contribute to the local is by promoting local produce and expanding their products beyond their state.

NEC is being supported by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and Business Association of Nagas (BAN), with one motto “Support local” with an innovation to enhance traditional marketing style by bringing together all the existing local owned businesses and enterprise with an idea of connecting one business with another through such business conclave and activities.

The main target of the organising team behind NEC is not to do business but for the start-ups and entrepreneurs to be noticed. The event would conclude on November 18 at Urban Haat, Dimapur.
