Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): Minister for planning and coordination and land revenue, Neiba Kronu on said that the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) is “blameless” in its conducts since it is still in its nascent stage and urged the party men and women to put a concerted effort to ensure that the party sails smoothly without breeding any black spot.

The minister was addressing the party leaders and workers during the inaugural programme of the NDPP Phek Region office on Oct. 3 in the presence of NDPP working president Nuzota Swuro and Neiba Ndang, NDPP central advisor and convenor i/c Phek region. Phek is the first district to get an office after the NDPP-led government was formed in the state in March this year.

Kronu, while exhorting the party workers to work sincerely, said the people have high expectation on the NDPP because of the party’s ideology and people-friendly policies and programmes. “People wanted a chance and for which they have given their mandate to the party to form a coalition government,” he said

The minister told the gathering that the PDA government would carry forward the various commitments made in the common minimum programme to bring positive change and progressive development to the state.

“Development takes time but the NDPP led PDA government is making sincere, honest and concerted efforts to take the state towards development and progress,” he said, adding that it would highlight various activities of the government through yearly progress report.

Kronu also called upon the people of the state not to be misled by various propaganda doing the round. “Opposition will always try to create disunity and also mislead the party workers by spreading false propaganda but we have to remain strong and work for the welfare of the party and not be swayed by such rumours,” he encouraged them.

Stating that the priority of the government is to build good roads across the state, starting with Kohima and Dimapur, Kronu assured to put his best effort to make Phek as one of the districts in the state with best roads.
