NCSU felicitates traffic personnel

Dimapur, Dec. 15 (EMN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) for the fourth year acknowledged the service of the traffic police personnel in manning the massive traffic in the state capital. This year the best traffic police was awarded to Nk Khrievotuo-ü Zumvü of 15 NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion and traffic constable, Vikholie-o Kense. NCSU secretary, Hoshito Assumi informed that the best traffic award was given for their tireless service to the people of the state. NCSU president, Pele Khezhie handed over the award consisting of a citation and Rs. 10,000 each. The personnel were felicitated during the NCSU advent Christmas cum felicitation programme on Friday at Hotel Ura, Kohima. Speaker of the programme, senior pastor of Cross Wonder Church Kohima, Rev. Ketou Theünuo, called upon the members to be committed and sincere builders. He encouraged the members and traffic police personnel to be givers and also execute their responsibilities with a smile thereby sharing the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ. Senior SP Kohima, Vekhosa Chakhesang while extending greetings lauded NCSU for felicitating the traffic police every year and encouraging them fulfil their responsibility more sincerely. He was also appreciative of the contractors for their services while also expressing hope that the union will work continuously for the welfares of the people. The programme was chaired by NCSU advisor, Povotso Lohe while invocation prayer was pronounced by Pastor Chekrosayi Phesao, Merhülietsa CRC Kohima and NCSU vice-president, Ntsenthung Tungoe delivered the welcome address. Special melody was presented by Keziah Semy.
