DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 20

NAMO India, a business initiative designed around the theme set by the Prime Minister to promote ‘Make in India’ mission, was launched in Dimapur today by Sanjay Jha, co-convenor of the National Trade and Industry Cell and North East incharge of the ‘Namo India’ project.
The project aims to encourage and promote the manufacture and merchandise of local products produced by local youths and business entrepreneurs with minimum investments but with maximum profits. The project is expected to benefit the general public, particularly the unemployed youths.
Addressing a press conference after the launching programme at Bookmarc, Dimapur, Jha, who is also a business mentor of the North East region, said the project also aims to promote small scale industries in every part of the country in an effort to solve unemployment crisis.
Briefing on the business aspects of the project, Jha also shared about the government’s plan and vision to engage the unemployed youth, so that they also contribute to nation building.
“Going by PM Modi’s vision, the 65% unemployed youths in the country are not supposed to seek jobs, but rather they should create job opportunities,” Jha said and added that the project will also promote culture towards the making of a prosperous India.
At the press conference, it was also informed that any person, who buys products exceeding Rs 1500 at Namo Store across India, will be able to avail upto Rs 1 lakh accidental insurance benefit. This was informed by Sanjay Jha in the presence of BJP Nagaland president M. Chuba Ao and general secretary (Org) Prashant Arora. While, it has also been informed that Moatoshi Aier has been appointed as the convenor for Namo India project in the Nagaland.
The Namo India project was earlier launched in the Northeastern region in Guwahati (Assam) on December 3 and Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) on December 15.
The Namo Store would be launched all over India on December 25.
