Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): The All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) has reaffirmed its decision to call for what it informed was a state-wide ‘first phase of three-day pen down and computer shutdown’ agitation, starting Nov. 27 next. The agitation will end Nov. 29, according to an ANDMSA press release on Saturday. “The district ministerial employee (sic) being the back bone that looks into the affairs of government functioning at the grass roots level and we feel that we are denied of our due share of benefits in terms of promotional scope, pay and allowances, as compared to other employees.“The agitation is call (sic) due to non fulfilment on the genuine demand made by the All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association by the Committee for Framing of District Ministerial Service Rules and Manpower Rationalization Committee (MRC) constituted by Government viz.
• Amalgamation of directorate and district ministerial cadre into common ministerial cadre as recruitment policy and criteria of both the cadre are same.
• Elevation of HA/Sr. HA to that of district superintendent class-I and SDHA/accountant to that of class-II.
• Creation of district superintendent class-I and assistant district superintendent class-II in all the independent DDOs of districts and sub-divisions.Therefore, all the district units are directed to adhere as resolved in the federal meeting on 17-11-2017,” it stated. the association has requested the public to bear with the’ inconvenience’.
