Nagaland BJP organising secretary calls on Advani

Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organising secretary, Ananta Mishra called on LK Advani, the first BJP All India general secretary who also served as the 7th deputy prime minister of India from 2002 to 2004 on May 15 at New Delhi.
According to press release from party’s media cell, during an interaction, issues pertinent to the Northeast and Nagaland were said to have been deliberated.
Advani recalled the former BJP state presidents namely NC Zeliang and Dr. N Rhetso how they have struggled hard to carry out the party activities in the state. They have immensely worked for the organisation during the hard and hostile times when strong sentiments prevailed against the party, he said. He also recalled the former Northeast organising secretaries PB Acharya and PChandrashekara Rao who tirelessly worked in the region for the growth of the party.
Today, he said BJP Nagaland is in the government with 12 BJP MLAs in the Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDA) which is also a constituent member of NDA in the centre.
While conveying his greetings and congratulating all the BJP legislators and the party workers in general for the hard labour in the recent 13th concluded state legislative assembly election, he also congratulated Y Patton for becoming the deputy chief minister of Nagaland in the PDA government. He is also stated to have enquired about the state if there is any changes taking place in regard to development and wished the party all the best and that the peoples’ aspirations be served .
Advani also said to have expressed sadness and conveyed condolence to the bereaved families of the departed senior BJP leader, K Medom Angami who passed away on May 11.
