KOHIMA, OCTOBER 25: The 5th edition of the Naga Wrestle Mania (King of the Ring Series) 2016 has been scheduled from October 27 to 29 at Kohima local ground.

A total of 112 wrestlers, including 23 heavyweights (above 74 Kg), 73 lightweights (74 Kg and below) and 16 juniors (14 years and below), would be taking part in the three-day event organised by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA).

Day-1 will witness the competition for lightweight wrestlers, while day-2 will feature the championship for the heavyweight and junior category.

The best 48 wrestlers from both lightweight and heavyweight series would be selected to take part in the King of the Ring Series, scheduled on the last day of the championship.

The total cash prize for this year’s edition is fixed at Rs. 4,59,000 (Rs four lakhs fifty-nine thousand), while all the categories will carry separate championship belts, the organisers informed.

The inaugural programme on October 27 will commence at 10 am with Visasolie Lhoungu, president, BJP Nagaland and vice chairman Democratic Alliance of Nagaland as the chief guest.

The donor tickets are priced at Rs. 1000 and will be valid for three days, while the chair and gallery tickets (valid for one day only) are priced at Rs. 100 and Rs. 50 respectively.

All the day’s’ event will begin at 10 am, however, all the participating wrestlers are asked to arrive early on an inaugural day (9.30 am) and compulsorily attend the oath ceremony.

The heavyweight wrestlers are Pfusato Tetse-o, Mhasilhusie Nagi, Zasevikho Meyatsu, Menuosetuo Yiese, Keduovilie Zumu, Dzieselatuo Keretsü, Vevohu Swuro, Nlumrai Hegwang, Kevizhalhu Gwirie, Besühveto Cumu, Vekhosazo Dozo, Kuneshoyi Zu-o, Kekhriezo Nagi, Kikruvilie Zumu, Vekuzo Vezüh, Keneisevi Meyase, Thekrusevi Meru, Sedevizo Keretsü, Seyiekhrietuo Yiese, Wekhrote Kapfo, Thejangulie Linyü, Doniehu Lohe and David Ng.
