Naga Wrestle Mania 6 and YFC to share stage at combat sports festival

Kohima, Sep. 30 (EMN): In an effort to promote Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), which is undoubtedly the mother of all combat sports, including Naga wrestling, 3E Nagaland, the organisers of Naga Wrestle Mania 6 (King of the Ring Series 2017) will share its stage with Yoddha Fighting Championship (YFC) and go one notch higher to present this year’s edition as a Combat Sports Festival from October 26 to 28, 2017 at Kohima local ground, Khuochiezie. Naga Wrestle Mania (King Of The Ring Series), the only categorised Naga wrestling tournament in Nagaland, which features two senior categories, Lightweight (74 kg and below) and Heavyweight (above 74 kg) and one junior category (14 years and below), has already been announced this year and registration is in progress at four outlets, namely 3E Office near Kohima local ground north gate, Sports World Taxi Stand Kohima, Orchid Store Razhü Point Kohima and Life Centre Pfutsero. The last date for registration is October 14.
Yoddha Fighting Championship, scheduled on October 28, will feature a pre-determined fight card, which will be announced shortly, comprising some of the best fighters in Yoddha FC’s different weight divisions. In view of this new development, the 3-day mega event schedule which was announced earlier will be slightly altered as follows – Naga Wrestle Mania 6 (King of the Ring Series 2017) October 26
1st series – Lightweight Championship
2nd series – Heavyweight Championship
October 27
3rd series – Junior Championship
4th series – King of the Ring Championship
Yoddha Fighting C’ship
October 28 – Fight card yet to be announced
All the main events of the Combat Sports Festival, both Naga wrestling and Yoddha FC will be held in the evening while other attractions such as photography and merchandise stalls, food courts and live concert will go on at other times throughout the festival.
