Naga United village conduct jubilee ‘challenge’

Dimapur, September 10 (EMN):
Members of Naga United village in Dimapur held what they stated was a “one day golden jubilee challenge” programme on September 9. The event was conducted at the public ground of the village, a press release from the organizers informed on Sunday. The village’s forthcoming golden jubilee celebration is to be held on February 8, 2018, the organisers informed.

The special guests during the programme were Vecipa Vise, deputy commissioner of police, Dimapur; Temsuba Aier, assistant inspector general; and Chubawati Chang, project director, Tuensang, the press release stated.

In his short speech, Vise told the gathering that ‘in spite of our diversity within the village we all need to be united, to be responsible citizens and also cooperate with one another so as set an example for the other villages.’

Also, Chang talked to the gathering. He appealed to the citizens to work together for the coming golden jubilee event. He said each individual has an important role to play for the development and betterment of not only the village but also for the entire Naga community.

Aier, in his speech, thanked the pioneers and founders of the village for their contribution. He appealed to the citizens of the village to continue carrying out the vision of their founders.
