Naga lad wins at Shillong mountain bike race

Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): Competing against the top 40 mountain bikers of North-East India, Meguo Benny Metha of Team Native Station from Kohima won the 3rd position at the 4th CycloBHP, Shillong Downhill Mountain Bike Race held on March 18 to 19, 2017. The team from Nagaland was led by Kaolim Hanso along with Kevilebo Zhotso, Meguo Benny Metha and Miss Lunili Awomi from Kohima. Benny Metha missed the top position by mere milliseconds. The 4th Cyclobhp Racing was a 2days action-pack downhill race with 40 competitors from Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya in the BMX and MTB open categories. Ismamul Howk tops the timing sheets in both the categories. The race was supported by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Directorate of Forest & Environment, EKH, Meghalaya, xBhp, Redbull India, xSports, ZoomCar, Psynyde Bikes, Freerider MTB Magazine, Cycling Shillong, ProCycling, Shillong, Delhi Mistan Bhandar, Megha Impressions, HillTribe Adventures, Helping Hands and Ground Rules.
