Dimapur, Jan.12: Kick-boxers from the state won 3 Gold and 2 Silver at the 6th Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisation (IAKO) held at Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from January 5-8 stated a press release received from the association.
The president of Nagaland Association Kickboxing Organisation (NAKO), Khetoho Zhimomi, who was the chief judge referee at the event was also honoured and his rank was upgraded to Black belt 4th Dan.
His three students Mongsen Lkr, Ketholelie Sogotsu and Kughato Zhimo were also awarded Black Belt 1st Dan.
The Nagaland team of 5 players were led by Khetoho Zhimomi, president (NAKO), Ikato Sumi and Kinto Sumi as team manager and secretary respectively.
Altogether 21 states from across India participated in the event the release further stated.
