Naga Hoho alleges ‘sinister design’ behind Arunachal killing

Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): The Naga Hoho has condemned the ‘gruesome assassination’ of Arunachal legislator Tirong Aboh—a Nocte-Naga—his son and nine others by unknown miscreants on May 21 in Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh

In a press release issued on Thursday, the Naga Hoho stated that at a time when Indo-Naga negotiation is nearing “a concluding phase”, violence and bloodshed will bring only unmanageable proposition.

“It is very perplexing that different agencies are suspecting this and that for the killing, yet the security forces are unable to nab the culprits till now despite of enforcing enough manpower and machineries which is beyond comprehension and speaks volumes of sinister design. We sincerely urge upon the competent authority to investigate thoroughly and book the culprits as per the demands and wishes of the people,” read the statement.

It also appealed to all sections of communities in Arunachal Pradesh to refrain from creating rumours and hatred among fellow citizens.
