Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): A two-day Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations (FNBA) general assembly held at Khunbi Baptist Church, under Maring Naga Baptist Association, Chandel district of Manipur concluded on March 11. The assembly was held under the theme “Dwelling together in unity”. The general secretary FNBA on Tuesday informed about the event.
The messages were brought by Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) exposing the theme from Psalms 133. Rev. Dr. Jolly Rimai, mission secretary of CBCNEI shared on topic ‘Heal our land’ based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 while Rev. Dr. Atsi Dolie, executive director of Angami Baptist Church Association (ABCC) spoke on “Love your brothers and sisters” based on 1st John 4: 20-21.
During the assembly, the house thanked God for Naga people scattered across the states and boundaries of the Northeast India and beyond. In such a time of coming together, the believers realize that ‘we must develop a closer working relationship among the Naga family to encourage and to strengthen weaker and struggling members within our own family to discover their place and role within the bigger family.’
Therefore, the house resolved to encourage the Naga Baptist Associations across the borders to come together for spiritual fellowship under the banner of FNBA to celebrate commonness as a family and one identity in Christ.
It also resolved that the FNBA as a family of Baptist by denomination ‘will safeguard the authority of the Bible, propagate the biblical faith and cooperate in our witness to the world around us.’
