Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The much anticipated event of the year, 7th horsepower challenge of Nagaland will be held from October 16 to 19, 2017 at Agri Expo Diphupar, Dimapur.
The horsepower challenge were held in Kohima for the previous years but this year Dimapur agri expo would be the station of its first ever motocross and autocross racing events., informed a press note.
So far 40 motocross and 70 Autocross enthusiasts have registered and registrations are still open. Interested participants can register in the official portal of NAC as well as forms can be collected from TRAP Kohima and from Screwdriver Dimapur, Nagaland.

Spot registrations will also be available for two wheeler and four wheeler on Oct.16 at agri expo. Entry for female riders and drivers are free. For more information one can log into the NAC Facebook page.
‘Participants from northeast India and also from main land India have been participating in the previous events held so far. This event has also ignited a new liking for motor sports among the youths of Nagaland who are doing very well in all such events even at national level. Nagaland adventure club also welcomes all the well wishers and motorsports lovers to come and witness this great game of skill and speed’, it stated.
The schedule dates for the events are highlighted below:-
Oct. 16 – Reporting and spot registration for autocross (11:00AM-1:00PM) and scrutiny follows (1 PM-3 PM)
Oct. 17 and 18 – AUTOCROSS (4 wheeler) followed by prize distribution on Oct. 18 (9 AM-4 PM)
Oct. 17 – Reporting and spot registration for motocross (12:00pm-3:00pm)& scrutiny follows (3pm-4pm)
Oct. 18 and 19 – MOTOCROSS (2 wheeler) followed by prize distribution on Oct. 19 (9am-4pm).
