N.F. Railway’s earning shows improvement

Dimapur,August 10 (EMN): N.F.Railway’s earnings from various segments from January to July this year have shown remarkable improvement.
According to press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer CPRON it stated that N.F.Railway has recorded 12.12% growth in number of passenger which is highest among all Zones in Indian Railway.
He said that during the period from January to July, 2017 penalty earned during the drives against ticketless travel was Rs. 27.01 crore against a target of Rs. 25.02 crore. ‘This is an increase of 47.76% over the corresponding period of last year’. ‘Originating passenger earnings has also increased to Rs. 1,009.40 crore against a target of Rs. 940.68 crore an increase of 7.730% over the corresponding period of last year’. ‘Originating goods earnings has also increased to Rs. 783.18 crore against a target of 765.63 crore an increase of 16.25% over the corresponding period of last year’, release stated.
Two new PRS (Passenger Reservation System) centres and three new UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) centres have been opened during this period in N.F.Railway, with these; a total number of UTS centres in N.F.Railway is 379 CPRO stated.
