Kohima, Sep. 13 (EMN): MRH Sunrisers defeated Neristian FC 2-0 at the ongoing Morning Champions Cup here at Seikhazou Ground, Kohima on Wednesday morning.
During the match, Chuba scored the first goal in the 13th minute and Keyixa added the second goal in the 43rd minute for MRH Sunrisers to give the deserving lead in the first half.
However, in the second half both the team failed to create much chances and MRH held on for the win till the end of the final whistle. Two yellow cards were cautioned to Lulun of MRH Sunrisers and Dailiam of Neristian FC during the match.
MRH Sunrisers now has six points from two matches (Group-A). The team continued its domination in the tournament by beating the debutant team Neristian FC in the second week of the tournament. They also have defeated defending champions MRH FC in the first match.
Neristian FC failed to score any goal in the tournament so far and suffered back to back defeat against All Blacks and MRH Sunrisers.
