Kohima, June 21 (EMN): Morung United narrowly defeated Morning FC by 2-1 goals at D Khel ground Kohima on Wednesday morning.
Playing at the ongoing Morning Premier League, Morung United took the lead in the 5th minute through Pirang and Seto doubled the lead in the 18th minute setup by Lithung. In the midst of the celebration, Hoinato pulled one back in the 19th minute for Moring FC through Dikwa but there was no comeback as Morung United held on for the win.
Morung United with the win moved above Morning FC in 6th place. Meanwhile 3rd placed Power Comm will be facing 9th place Mustang FC on Thursday morning. With 32 points from 15 matches, a win will see Power Comm moved above the league leaders Medical XI on better goal difference.
