More organisations condemn cop’s murder

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): More organisations from various districts have condemned the murder of an Inspector Neiphretuo Metsei-o, whose body was found on Sep. 15 between Lasumi and Zapami village under Phek district.
Tangkhul zonal bodies: The four Tangkhul Longphang (north, east, west and south) zonal bodies, comprising of all villages in Tangkhul region have condemned the murder of Neiphretuo Metsie-o.

While assuring support to the decease family, the zonal bodies stated that it has pressed upon the law enforcing agencies in arresting the absconding culprits at the earliest. It also said that they have also alerted all the villages under the four jurisdictions to act and inform as and when the culprits is identified.

Appreciating the Police department of Nagaland and Manipur for speedy arrest of Ringthingchon Lungharwoshi, the organisation urged upon the government of both the states to ensure immediate arrest of the absconding suspect. The organisation cautioned that whoever is found harbouring the absconder shall be dealt seriously as per the law of the land.

AGOK: The Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho (AGOK) has strongly condemned the killing of one of its members from Northern Angami Gazetted Officer Krotho (NAGOK), Neiphretuo Metsei-o, inspector, 5th NAP Bn. posted at Pfütsero.

“Till yesterday, we had hoped and prayed for reassuring news of our member Late Neiphretuo. Words fail us as we grapple with the sheer inhumanity and cold blooded intent of the perpetrators, who had no qualms about taking the precious God given life of a fellow human being,” the AGOK stated.

The organisation has strongly condemned the outrageous act of murdering a promising police officer in the prime of his life, not only depriving the police force of one of its young officers, but also leaving behind a desolated young family, scarred by this incomprehensible and abominable act.

The AGOK offered condolence to the deceased wife Hili and children. The organisation also expressed its solidarity with his native village Chiechama and the law enforcing agencies and strongly urged that no effort be spared to ensure that the victim and his family get justice.

NAPO: The Northern Angami Public Organisation (NAPO) has strongly condemned the gruesome murder of its member Neiphretuo Metsieo.
“The wilful act of these perpetrators has no place in the society and anyone trying to shelter or abet these barbaric murderers shall be held equally responsible for all the consequences,” the NAPO stated. The organisation appealed the government to arrest the perpetrators and give befitting punishment to all the culprits.

TBCA: The Tangkhul Baptist Churches Association, in the strongest term condemned the barbaric act of murdering Neiphretuo Mesie-o of Chiechama village.
“We are deeply shocked to learn that such a precious son of our Naga soil had been ended in such a heinous manner” it stated.

With prayer for justice, the association appealed to the concerned authority that the perpetrator be booked and brought to justice at the earliest. It is also appealed to the Tangkhul public to extend any possible and necessary help in arresting the culprit. It further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.

TPO: The Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) has flayed, what it called, ‘the diabolic murder’ of Neiphretuo Metsei-o. Terming the act as the handiwork of “devil-possessed individuals,” the TPO appealed to all the people to help in apprehending the perpetrators and award befitting action against them.

WCH: The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) while condemning the heinous murder of Neiphretuo Metseio, said that such cold blooded murderers have no place in a civilised society and should not go unpunished.

“The presence of such ruthless criminals would threaten the safety of all citizens; as such the WCH urges the law enforcing agencies to take all measures necessary in bringing the culprits to book at the earliest” the hoho stated.

NPP: The National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland state unit while condemning the cold blooded murder of Neiphretuo Metseio, said that such savage act should not be tolerated in any civilised society. The party urged the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in probing the murders, so that the culprits are apprehended at the earliest and accorded a befitting punishment.

KVC: The Kohima Village Council (KVC) condemned the heinous crime committed on the law enforcing agency.
“No stone must be left unturned to bring the murderers to justice immediately according to the law of the land,” the council stated. The council said that the government and the society must ensure that this kind of crime do not recur in the future.

SAH: The Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH) while vehemently condemning the barbaric murder of Neiphretuo Metseio, stated that “nobody should try to shield the culprits but the law enforcing agency must award befitting punishment on fast track so that this kind of incident is never committed in future.”

The hoho said the incident should not look into the tribal line but everybody should cooperate with the police to bring the culprits to book as per the law of the land and let the peace prevail in our land.

Meanwhile, the Mao Union Kohima, Lower Phaibung village, Tangkhul Union Kohima, Mao Hoho Dimapur, Kuki Inpi Nagaland, and Poumai Hoho Nagaland also condemned the murder of Metseio and appealed the concerned authority to arrest the culprits at the earliest and ensure justice that the victim and family.
