More condole death of Longkumer

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): More legislators, civil society organisations and others on Mon. shared their grief over the untimely demise MLA Imtikumzuk Longkumer, Advisor of Sericulture and Excise who passed away on Sep. 22 at New Delhi.

Ao Legislators
Five legislators from the Ao community viz. Metsubo Jamir, Temjen Iman Along, Tongpng Ozukum, Dr. Longriniken and Imnatiba, on behalf of the Ao legislators conveyed deepest sympathy upon the demise of their colleague.

The five legislator, in a condolence message, said that Longkumer was an upcoming statesman who was making his mark in the political history of the state.

“While serving — term as a member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly he set an example among his peers with his sincerity and dedication,” stated the message.

Saying that Longkumer’s close relation with the public and the youths in particular and his zeal for the uplift of the society would be missed by all, the message said that the Nagas have lost a great leader in his demise. He was truly a man valued by our society. He will be remembered with respect and will be greatly missed by us,” the message stated while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

The Angami Public Organisation expressed deep shock and sadness at the untimely demise of Longkumer whom it regarded as a promising individual who set various examples of talents and dedicated his life in the service of the people.

His profound personality has impacted every walks of life in his very short journey. He was a promising leader and an abled person,loved and admired by all.

“The news of his demise has caused the Angami Public Organisation to lament and mourn the loss of a man of true quality whom people of Nagaland in general look upon as a veteran in all spheres,” the APO President Dr.Kepelhusie Terhüja stated in a condolence message.

Saying that Longkumer was a promising leader who was admired by all, Terhüja said that his good gestures and valuable services towards the people and the society will never be forgotten.

“Words are inadequate to express the grief yet in silent prayers; The Angami Public Organisation pays honour and tribute to the departed soul and the bereaved family. May the departed soul rest in peace,” the APO president stated.

Ao Senden

The Ao Senden has also extended its heartfelt condolences to the wife and children of the deceases legislator and prayed God to grant solace at this dark hour of grief.

“On his demise the Nagas have lost a great visionary leader creating a vacuum which will be difficult to fill up,” stated the Senden in a condolence message.

LFA – Nagaland

The Legislators’ Forum on AIDS expressed deep hurt and grief “for the irreparable loss of a precious soul” in the person of Longkumer, who was the Treasurer of LFA during the 12th NLA as the Deputy Speaker.

“He was a keen supporter of the Programme. His sincerity and magnanimous attitude was demonstrated for the interest of LFA and its mission during his tenure as the Executive Member of LFA,” stated the State Consultant, LFA – Nagaland, Dr. Vinito L. Chishi in a condolence message.

Saying that the Forum has felt the loss of a strong supporter and advocate of HIV/Aids, Chishi further extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
