Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 3 Dimapur-III assembly constituency, Azheto Zhimomi, strongly felt that Naga youth have immense potential to excel in many fields only if they are provided the right platform to realise their abilities and pursue the same, which in return would have beneficial impact in the growth and progress of the society.

Addressing the 39th general conference of Aqahuto Area Students’ Union (AASU) in Shokhuvi village on January 6, Azheto said youth are the stakeholders of the society and that it should be the responsibility of every young person to do something positive for well-being of the state.

Asserting that education is one powerful tool for taking the community forward, Azheto pointed out that those who are good in studies should pursue it with dedication. Also stating that there is no less opportunity for those who are not able to keep up with other in studies, Azheto said there many other opportunities which one could choose and specialise in it.

“We need to continually nurture ourselves in order to bear good fruit in life,” he added.

Azheto, who hails from Kiyeto village of Aqahuto area, called upon the students and the public in general of the area to be torch bearers of peace and harmony and extend the same to other tribes and communities. He was of the view that a nation, no matter how strong or rich it may be, will not grow without peace and unity among the people.

The conference concluded on January 6 evening in an encouraging note.
