Dimapur, August 17 (EMN): In a noble gesture, a Dimapur-based group called Mercy Society with the guidance of the NDPP Women Organisation in Dimapur region, distributed free rice to poor and needy widows in Medziphema town from August 15 to 17. A press note informed that around 30 genuine beneficiaries received the gift from NDPP office located at 5 Ghaspani-II A/C.
In a press release, the president, Megozomeü Khate and secretary, Chinnu Chongloi, of the women organisation, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, conveyed gratitude to Mercy Society and NDPP Women Organisation, Dimapur for the gesture to uplift the lives of widowed mothers. It further noted that kind deeds will never go unrewarded and requested other citizens to embark on such projects in their neighbourhood in order to propagate love for humanity.
